The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) Qatar Chapter conducted a technical seminar on ‘Quality & ISO Standards, and Privacy Engineering & Assurance’, at the Indian Cultural Center in Doha recently.
More than 100 member engineers of the organisation attended the event.
Honorary Chairman Abdul Sathar welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest speakers Ajay Singh and Rakesh Jha to the audience.
The first session discussed ISO standards for organisational improvement related to customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, evidence-based decision-making and relationship management.
The second session led by Rakesh Jha, founding director & CEO of Privacy Virtuoso Global Pvt Ltd, discussed ‘Privacy Engineering and Assurance’ as the methodology to bridge the gap between laws, principles and technologies, which gave birth to the new profession of ‘Privacy Engineer’.
At the end of the event, Honorary Chairman Abdul Sathar presented mementos to Singh and Jha.
Dr Abdul Hameed, honorary secretary, compered the event while Sajeet George, honorary treasurer, proposed the vote of thanks.
