many others.
Qatar Airways Senior Vice-President Marketing and Corporate Communications Salam al Shawa said, “As the Official Airline Sponsor of the Qatar International Food Festival, we are delighted to be partnering with QIFF on its 10th anniversary, and to be bringing so many Master Chefs from around the world to Doha to take part in this year’s festival.
“This unique event showcases Qatar’s extraordinary diversity, something we as an airline take tremendous pride in. QA has also activated a stopover programme for transiting visitors at Hamad International Airport to visit QIFF.”
Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) has been organising and delivering QIFF annually for the last ten years as part of its strategy to grow and diversify the country’s tourism experiences.
Rashed al Qurese of QNTC said, “QIFF has completed ten successful years of introducing Qatar’s vibrant multicultural experiences and iconic venues to people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. It has played an instrumental role in our strategy to position Qatar as an attractive destination for authentic and bespoke experiences.
“Thanks to numerous initiatives to enhance visitor access, UNWTO has ranked Qatar as the most open country in the Middle East and the 8th most open country in the world in terms of visa facilitation. This, combined with multiple daily flight options from QA and numerous hospitality and dining offers from hotels in and around Doha, offers a great opportunity to visitors from all over the world to come and enjoy the festival as well as other unique experiences Qatar offers.”
