Doha Festival City (DFC), Qatar’s preferred lifestyle and entertainment destination, will launch a Mini Teddy Bear Hospital to help children learn about healthcare in a fun and innovative way.
From Sunday, March 17 until Saturday, March 30, children can bring their favourite teddy bear to visit the hospital and speak to the doctors on how to take care of their teddy bear’s health.
This activity will take place at Festival City Mall Centre Court on the ground floor, where parents can register their children anytime between 10am and 8pm.
Sponsored by Baladna, Toys R Us, IKEA, Mustela, Kulud Pharmacy and The Hamilton International School (THIS), the Teddy Bear Mini Hospital at Festival City creates a fun and educational experience for children to help them overcome their fear of doctors and health checkups, by simulating the process of visiting a hospital or a medical centre.
The hospital will also be run with the help of volunteers from Qatar Volunteers.
Children can take their fuzzy companions through a medical screening, followed by a visit to nine different stations that include a waiting room, a nutrition consultant station, a surgery room, a dentist and ophthalmologist clinics, as well as a pharmacy.
Throughout the 14 days of the Teddy Bear Mini Hospital activity, children will get a chance to enjoy various giveaways from Mustela
and Baladna.
Doha Festival City’s over 14,000 Kids Club members will get to enjoy fast track access and other exclusive benefits.
Doha Festival City is home to more than 50 brands for children, including popular names such as Mamas & Papas, Mothercare, Riva Kids, Sacoor Kids and The Children’s Place, as well as debuting ones such as Mayoral, Kidliz, Cool Club, Idexe, Ziddy Kids, Petit Beteau and Little Milano.
May Marzooq, senior marketing manager, said: “The Teddy Bear Mini Hospital taking place this month will be a unique and engaging edutainment experience for children. We strive to create memorable moments for all of our visitors and that includes our little ones. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone and we would like to sincerely thank our sponsors and partners for supporting this special event.”
