A century from Adnan and an unbeaten fifty and a three-wicket haul from Tamoor Sajjad saw Warriors Club humble Royal Stars by a whopping 204 runs in the Premier Division match of Qatar Airways Cricket Tournament.
Batting first, Warriors Club put on a big batting show putting up a total of 390 for five.
Adnan, who top-scored with 110 runs, hit 10 boundaries in his 128-ball knock.
Later, Sajjad and Sadiq launched a potent onslaught to take the team close to 400-mark. Sajjad hammered eight sixes and four boundaries in his knock of 88 not out off just 34 balls, while Sadiq clobbered two sixes and half a dozen boundaries in his 22-ball 57 not out.
Also excelling was Imal, who made a breezy 71 with the help of one six and seven fours.
Royal Stars’ chase was derailed by Praveeth (who claimed four wickets for 32 runs) and Sajjad (3-30) with regular strikes. Royal Stars were eventually bowled out for 186 in 40 overs.
Asif was the only player to offer some resistance with a fighting 52 (2x6s; 7x4s).
Sajjad was named Man of the Match for his super all-round show.
Fireox beat Kingspan Qatar
In another match, Fireox outclassed Kingspan Qatar by seven wickets with Mirza, Waqar and Waqas coming up with fine individual performances.
Mirza and Waqas shared six wickets among them causing Kingspan Qatar to collapse for 162 in 44 overs.
Usman picked two wickets and Waqar Bhatti one.
Mughees and Manan were the other contributors making 41 (6x4s) and 35 (4x4s) respectively.
In reply, Fireox reached the target in 27.4 overs with Waqar and Waqas Bhatti remaining unbeaten.
Waqar made 51 not out off 65 balls with five fours, while Bhatti hit six fours in his 36-ball 41 not out.
Earlier, Saqlain also made 41 off 42 balls hitting four sixes and a four.
