manilatimes: The drug situation in the country had worsened and law enforcers are close to giving up the fight, according to President Rodrigo Duterte. In a speech during the Partido Demokratiko Pilipinas – Lakas ng Bayan campaign rally in Cagayan de Oro on Sunday night, Duterte said he would have nothing to be proud of if the campaign against illegal drugs fail. “Things have worsened. My policemen are at the brink of surrendering,” he said. “In the end, we will be like Mexico. We will be controlled by drug cartels. The Sinaloa has already entered the country and that is why drugs are being thrown in the Pacific,” he added. (manilatimes)
