The Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA), in cooperation with Qatar Finance and Business Academy, organised a workshop on governance for charitable and non-profit organisations.
The four-day workshop aimed at introducing the government, its framework and its apps in charitable institutions, and reviewed the most important international trends in governance and practical practices that help charities develop their performance in the field of governance.
The workshop covered the areas of corporate governance that include infrastructure, competencies, guidance, responsibilities and control, and the organisational structure, supported by standards and practices in each field, with practical tools that help participants in applying governance within their institutions.
RACA also presented several case studies illustrating the professional practices of governance within charities and concluded by presenting a practical guide for participants as a practical reference.
The workshop targeted many leaders and managers of charities and social institutions in Qatar, in light of the Authority’s role in promoting and disseminating the most important international and professional practices in the field of charitable work.
