Tehran: At least 17 people have died and another 70 were injured in storms and flooding in several parts of Iran, with authorities fearing more bodies could be found in rescue operations. The weather service warned on Monday that 12 provinces could be hit by flooding in the coming three days. The worst flooding occurred in the provinces of Golestan and Mazandaran in the north, Fars in the south, and other areas of the south-west. The weather claimed two victims in the northern provinces and 15 in the south and south-west. (dpa)
