The Department of Planning and Quality at the Ministry of Justice organised a workshop on the implementation of risk management project in cooperation with the Risk Management and Quality Department at the State Audit Bureau.
The workshop comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to strengthen the culture of risk management and provide a continuous methodology for identifying and classifying risks. This aims to enable its departments to identify the risks and their causes and help identify strategic risks at the level of the ministry and work to neutralise them.
Acting Director of Planning and Quality Department at the ministry Hessa Ali al Sulaiti said the goal of the risk management development is to enable the leadership of the ministry to develop and implement appropriate strategies, policies, procedures and controls to manage various types of risks.
Director of Risk Management and Quality Department at the State Audit Office Sheikh Sultan bin Nayef al Thani stressed the importance of the risk management project, which is an integrated system for risk management operations at the state level, and has been implemented by only a few countries, notably the Netherlands, Australia, Canada and America
He pointed out that Qatar is the first country in the region to implement it.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Sultan bin Abdullah al Suwaidi later honoured Sheikh Sultan for his cooperation in preparing the workshop.
