The Qatar Football Association (QFA) Arbitration Department have announced that Qatari referees, led by Abdulrahman al Jassim, will officiate the Amir Cup final.
Jassim made his FIFA World Cup debut at Russia 2018 and has overseen matches in the AFC U-23 Championship in 2016, FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2017 and the FIFA U-17 World Cup as a Video Assistant Referee.
The Qatari is the only Asian referee selected to implement the newly-introduced VAR system, which made its debut on the world’s biggest stage for first time in Russia 2018.
The first assistant will be Talib Salem, second assistant Saud Ahmed, fourth referee Khamis al Kuwari, and the video referee Salman Falahi.
Al Duhail, the defending HH the Amir Cup champions, will take on Al Sadd, the reigning QNB Stars League champions, on May 16th in HH the Amir Cup final.
The final will be played on May 16 at the brand new Al Wakrah Stadium, which will be inaugurated on the same day and is one of the eight venues of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
