Lighthouse Integrated Institute-Qatar (L2I-Q), a Filipino international training institute, celebrated its second Commencement Exercises with a ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza -The Business Park Hotel recently.
Around 130 students enrolled in different courses under the Institute’s SCQ Division in partnership with Inception Centre were honoured on the occasion led by L2I-Q President and Founder Maria Anthonette Laurel Salgatar. 
The graduates successfully completed the courses in Project Management, Procurement and Purchasing Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Planning and Entrepreneurial Management, Warehousing and Inventory Management, Facility Management, Project Estimation, Autocad, MS Office, Baking and Pastry, Culinary Arts, Barista, Automotive, Aircon Technology, Electrical & Motor Control, Massage Therapy, Cosmetology, Caregiving, Events Management and Social Media Sales and Marketing.  
The event was attended by Evelyn Laranang, Welfare Officer at the OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) Office in Doha, who delivered a motivational speech on the occasion, and Eric Dizon, administrative staff of the Philippine Overseas Labour Office (POLO).  
Among the highlights of the programme was the awarding of certificates of recognition to the roster of volunteer trainers and administrative personnel of L2I-Q. The awardees were Jonathan Gaela, Janice Casunuran, King Zamora, Chef Gerry Atencio, Chef Norbert Pizzaro, Marnelle De Guzman, Joanna Flores, Dr. Yousaf Din, Joselito Laudit, Tahira Abdulghaffar, Jessie Marcelo, Joan Guevarra, John Barizzo, Ruel Angeles, Alkhin Briton and Marian Pabalan Garcia.
It was followed with the awarding of certificate of completion to the graduates and recognition of deserving top graduates who excelled from their respective courses led by the Institute’s President, the guest speaker and the Dean of Short Courses Department King Zamora. 
The ceremony also honoured the achievers of the batches in different courses or field of study. Among the awardees for SCQ Division were Hazel V. Agustin (Top 1 of Purchasing Management) for The Distinction Award, Regan Sano (Top 1 of Social Media Sales and Marketing) for The High Distinction Award and Romeo H. Campo (Top 1 of Project Estimation) for The Order of Excellence Award.
The event concluded with a closing remark from the Institute’s Vice President Jonathan Ritch Gaela.
L2I-Q was established to support overseas workers build their careers and improve their professional lives. It works in partnership with Inception Training Center with a license from Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education to deliver both managerial and language courses.
It is a Registered Training Center (RTC-0000010) of the International Qualifications Network that offers international diploma courses through a strategic partnership with Edinburgh Napier University and professional qualifications which are accredited by SQA in the UK.
L2IQ is the first and only Filipino training center licensed by Alison UK (an Alison Learning Centre) that could deliver more than 1,000 programmes or courses to expand the offering of high-quality, affordable educational opportunities to all individuals seeking to improve their careers and professional lives.
Aside from Salgatar and Gaela, the current leadership of L2I-Q also includes Chef Gerry Atencio (HRM_Division Consultant), Janice Casunuran, MBA (Institute Academic Head), King Zamora (Dean of SCQ Division), Chef Norbert Pizzarro (Dean of HRM Division), Engr. Andres Esteves (Dean of Safety Division), Arch. Ma. Andria De Vera (Dean of Alsion Division), Juliet Gatchalian-Plasencia, RN (Guidance Counselor), Marinelle Zabala (IT Director) and Alkhin Briton (Marketing Executive).
