The annual three-day interior design and fit-out show Index Qatar 2019 will begin at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Centre on October 22.
An array of exhibitors covering every category of interior design will set out their wares at the expo, which will offer architects, interior designers, hotel outfitters, retailers, furniture stores and wholesalers in Qatar an unrivalled opportunity to view and source the most comprehensive mix of interior design products and services currently available.
Following on the success of the 2018 exhibition, the 2019 edition is expected to attract even higher attendance and participation from more countries, reflecting the exciting opportunities currently being created by Qatar’s booming construction market, where mega projects at various stages of development are fuelling a demand for great interior design products and services.
Index Qatar is endorsed by Qatar National Tourism Council this year, who are encouraging global and regional interior companies to be part of the event and to experience Qatar as an evolving world-class tourism hub.
“We are keenly looking forward to the launch of Index Qatar’s third and biggest edition in just under six weeks,” said Jaafar Shubber, Index Qatar’s Event Director. “We are confident that our unique co-location with Cityscape Qatar this year will make the 2019 edition an exceptional platform for firms to showcase their products and services and attract key buyers along with professionals and industry leaders.
We also expect global suppliers and international companies looking to access Qatar’s interiors market to be particularly well-represented. With three years of preparation remaining for the FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar’s multi-billion-dollar mega construction projects are now looking to source interior materials, furnishing and fit-out suppliers and products, providing a lucrative market for interior products that cater to different sectors.”
Nabeel Sabir, representing Fabrica Home, an exhibitor for the past three editions, said, “Fabrica has the honour to once again be part of INDEX Qatar, aleading event that connects those of us in the industry undertaking interior and fit-out services with potential partners and buyers. We look forward to supporting and participating in this year’s event through interaction with suppliers, interior design professionals, exhibitors and buyers, and we extend our appreciation to the event organisers for this valuable opportunity.”
Exhibitors already confirmed for this year’s Index Qatar include Al Darwish Engineering, Ceramiche Batignani, Cervo Bianco, Cristal de Paris, Elstead Lighting, La Favorita Mezzaluna, Misasa Stone, Sedar Qatar and many others.
Live in previous editions, the Index Qatar this time will also feature the Design Talks, which feature presentations, panel discussions, interviews and case studies from leading interior designers, fit-out companies and architects, who are currently contributing to the creation of Qatar’s modern built environment.
In its third edition, this year’s Index Qatar will be co-located with Cityscape Qatar, the country’s only international real estate investment event. It is expected that the two events will attract a footfall of close to 14,000, with visitors representing all sectors of the interior design industry, including key buyers, such asreal-estate developers, local authorities, private and institutional investors and end-users,along with professionals and industry leaders. INDEX Qatar will also be open to members of the public.
The event will also offer more than 20 CPD-certified workshops catering to various areas of interest.
