The Indonesia Expo 2019, the first solo Indonesian products exhibition, was successfully held in Doha from November 17-19.
Variety of Indonesian products were showcased in the event, which attracted more than 600 visitors.
The exhibition was officially opened by Qatar Chamber representative Saad al Dabbagh and President of Qatar-Indonesia Business Council (QIBC) Farhan al Sayed and witnessed by Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar HE Muhammad Basri Sidehabi and 60 dignitaries from diplomatic and business communities in Qatar.
Around 45 companies and two Indonesian cooperatives, supported by Indonesian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and its Aceh Province Regional Chapter took part in the expo, giving an opportunity for business community in Qatar to explore trade and investment potential between the two countries.
Business to business matchmaking became a key platform enabling some business deals to be agreed during the three-day exhibition.
The Indonesian ambassador witnessed the signing of 15 agreements worth more than $100 million in terms of commitment for products trading, investment and partnership.
Basri said he hopes that the exhibition would open more access for business community from two countries to expand their cooperation in all sectors of economy not only in trade exchange but also in attracting more investment, collaboration, and partnership for benefit of the two brotherly countries.
The president of QIBC pointed out Qatar and Indonesia will have a very diversified business relations in the future.
