The first edition of the International Perfumes and Cosmetics Exhibition in Qatar, organised by Kuwait International Fair Company, opened its doors to visitors on Thursday in Doha, with the participation of more than 57 Kuwaiti companies.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ibtihaj al Ahmadani, Qatar Chamber board member and president of Qatari Businesswomen Forum; Basima Youssef al Dheim, Executive Director of Marketing and Sales at Kuwait International Fair Company, along with key guests and visitors.
The expo, which will run until November 26 at Doha Exhibition and
Convention Center (DECC), is the largest dedicated fair in Qatar to sell, market, and promote perfumes, incense, and cosmetics.
The expo is one of the largest specialised gathering in Qatar for selling, marketing and promoting perfumes, incense, bukhor and cosmetics.
Following the opening ceremony, Ahmadani toured the pavilions of the expo and was briefed from exhibitors on their displayed items.
Speaking to media, Ahmadani paid tribute to the quality and variety of displayed items, noting that the expo offered a good opportunity for Qatari businessmen and businesswomen to meet their Kuwaiti counterparts to discuss ways of developing joint cooperation in perfumes and cosmetics sectors.
She stressed that Qatar and Kuwait private sectors are in constant contact and continuing cooperation in identifying investment opportunities available in both brotherly countries.
Ahmadani also affirmed Qatar Chamber’s support for these exhibitions that aim at enhancing trade cooperation between Qatar and Kuwait.
Basima said, “We are glad today to launch the international perfumes exhibition in Qatar, with companies representing exclusive perfume brands, along with local, regional premium and luxury brands and dealers showcase their collections of perfumes, incense, and cosmetics.
“We thank Qatari authorities and DECC management for their effort and also thank all Qatari and Kuwaiti companies for their participation and reconfirm our commitment to present a well-organised fair that meet the expectation of visitors and exhibitors alike”.
The first day of the fair received huge crowds who were keen to purchase the latest and most luxurious scents and take advantage of the wide range of exhibition offers and competitive prices.
The exhibition is organised by Kuwait International Fair Company, the first and largest exhibition organiser of exhibitions in Kuwait and have worked in collaboration with Attex International Event Management, to manage the International Perfumes and Cosmetics Exhibition in Qatar.
