Qatar and Russia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in investment promotion.
The MoU was inked on the sidelines of the fourth session of the Qatari-Russian Joint Committee for Economic, Commercial and Technical Cooperation held in Moscow on Wednesday.
The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Ali bin Ahmed al Kuwari and Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak.
The MoU was signed by Qatar’s Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Ali bin al Waleed al Thani and Russian Investment Agency President Yuri Spiridonov.
The deal aims to strengthen cooperation in investment fields between the two friendly countries and exchange information related to the investment environment and available investment opportunities, in addition to sharing the highest standards of promotion and facilitation of the investment process between them.
